Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information OAS Enterprise LLC (“OAS Enterprise”, “we”, “us”), Cincinnati, Ohio, collects when businesses and their people use Simple Trucking (the “Service”), how we use it and the choices you have. It applies to account users, and to drivers and other people whose details our customers put into the Service.
1. Who is responsible for what
For information about your own account (your name, email, billing), we decide how it is used. For the information a trucking company puts into the Service about its business — loads, customers, drivers, carriers, documents — that company decides what goes in and why, and we process it on its behalf under our Terms of Service. Drivers and others should contact the trucking company first about that information; we will help the company answer.
2. Information we collect
- Account details: name, email address, hashed password (we never store or see the password itself), company name, address, phone, MC and DOT numbers, logo and payment instructions you enter.
- Business data you enter or upload: loads, rates, addresses, stops, customers and brokers, carriers, invoices, payments, expenses, fuel purchases, settlements; driver names, phone numbers, pay setup and document expiry dates (such as CDL and medical card); trucks, plates and maintenance; and files such as rate confirmations, bills of lading, proof of delivery, receipts and photos.
- Location: addresses on loads, and truck or driver locations only if your company turns on GPS or ELD features.
- Billing: plan, invoices and payment status. Card details are collected and kept by our payment processor (for example Stripe), not by us.
- Technical and security data: sign-in times, IP address, wrong-password attempts (used to lock out password guessing), browser type, and an activity log of actions in your account (who created, changed or sent what, and when).
- Settings stored on your device: your sign-in token and choices such as language. We do not use advertising cookies or trackers.
- Messages with us: what you send when you ask for help.
3. How we use it
- To run the Service: show your data, work out miles, totals, settlements and reports, create invoices and PDFs, and send the emails and reminders you ask it to send.
- To read documents for you with AI (for example rate confirmations and receipts), so forms fill in by themselves. This runs on our servers or with service providers bound to protect the data, and is not used to train other companies’ AI models.
- To keep accounts secure, prevent fraud and misuse, and keep the activity log.
- To bill you, give support, and tell you about changes to the Service or these policies.
- To improve the Service, using summarised or de-identified usage information where we can.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
- Service providers that help us run the Service, only for that purpose and under confidentiality duties: hosting and backups, email delivery, payment processing, and map and routing services. To work out miles, load addresses are sent to the map service in use (OpenStreetMap by default, or Google Maps if your company adds its own key).
- People you choose to send things to, such as your customers and brokers (invoices, proof of delivery) and your drivers (driver links). Emails you send through a connected Gmail account go through Google.
- Authorities when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of people or of the Service.
- A buyer or successor if OAS Enterprise or the Service is sold or merged; this policy will still apply to your data.
5. How long we keep it
We keep Customer Data while the account is open. After an account is cancelled we keep it for 30 days so it can be restored or exported, then delete it; backup copies are overwritten on their normal schedule (within 90 days). We keep billing records and the information we need for legal, tax or dispute reasons for as long as the law requires. Wrong-password records are kept for one day.
6. Security
We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), salted and hashed passwords, signed sign-in tokens, lock-out after repeated wrong passwords, protection against requests from other websites, access limits and daily backups. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will tell you as the law requires.
7. Your choices and rights
- Account users can see and correct most information directly in the app, and export their company’s data.
- You can ask us at support@samad.net for a copy of your personal information, to correct it or to delete it. Depending on where you live (for example California and other US states with privacy laws), you may have these rights by law; we will not treat you differently for using them. We may need to confirm who you are first.
- Drivers and other people listed by a trucking company should contact that company; we will help it respond.
- You can stop optional emails from us at any time. Emails needed to run your account (such as billing) will still be sent.
8. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Where data is stored
We store and process data in the United States. If you use the Service from another country, your information will be transferred to the United States.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. For important changes we will tell you in advance by email or in the app, and the version and date at the top will change.
